About IAA
India's National Multi-Stakeholder Platform for Agrivoltaics
The India Agrivoltaics Alliance (IAA) is India's national multi-stakeholder platform dedicated to advancing agrivoltaics through collaboration, innovation and evidence-based action. Established in 2023 and jointly driven by the National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and the Centre for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) and supported by 14 founding members, the Alliance brings together government, industry, academia, research institutions, development partners, financial institutions and farmer organisations to promote the sustainable integration of agriculture and solar energy.
Through policy advocacy, research, capacity building, and knowledge exchange, IAA aims to accelerate the adoption of agrivoltaics and contribute to resilient rural livelihoods, clean energy transition and sustainable development across India.
