The India Agrivoltaics Alliance (IAA) is an initiative focused on integrating solar energy infrastructure with agricultural spaces across India. This innovative alliance brings together diverse stakeholders, including government bodies, solar developers, farmers, and financial institutions, with a unified aim to promote, facilitate, and standardize Agrivoltaics practices.

By harmonizing efforts and expertise, the IAA endeavors to accelerate the adoption of Agrivoltaics, ensuring sustainable energy generation while preserving agricultural productivity.

Through collaborative initiatives, knowledge sharing, and policy advocacy, the IAA aims to drive widespread awareness and implementation of Agrivoltaics solutions, fostering a greener and more resilient future for India's energy and agricultural sectors.

1. To create a multi-stakeholder platform to coordinate the inputs from multiple stakeholders who are working in silos and channelize all the agrivoltaics practices across India through the alliance.

2. To design policy recommendations ensuring that the policy advocacy will be inclusive of all the stakeholders across the sector, to frame a comprehensive policy framework for agrivoltaics in India.

What We Do?

The IAA has set up a secretariat and onboarded an alliance with relevant stakeholders in the Agrivoltaics ecosystem. It is functioning as a conduit to accelerate the adoption and implementation of Agrivoltaics in India, actively advocating for policies, engaging in evidence-based discussions on standards, and shaping regulations for its integration.
